Sharjah Ladies Club Gifts Women a Memorable March

Members and visitors receive much pampering and care throughout the month

Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) dedicated the entire month of March to a special celebration of women and their invaluable contribution to society, offering a host of wellness and grooming activities. To celebrate the two glorious acts of womanhood and motherhood, SLC organised a special Gong meditation event and a Neom Luxury Organic Products launch and other beauty and wellness sessions.

Titled, ‘A Happy Woman is a Beautiful Women’, a series of events and special promotions at SLC’s various facilities were organised to enhance women’s physical and mental wellbeing, and give their overall happiness levels a big boost.

On Tuesday, 21 March, SLC celebrated International Mother’s Day at their Basateen Preschool Centre, with fun-filled mother and baby activities, in line with the club’s role in providing special care to ensure women’s and children’s physical and mental health. Breastfeeding mothers were awarded with gifts, and all participants were treated to a special Mother’s Day feast.

Women enjoyed big discounts on premium beauty and wellness services offered at Dalouk Spa and Orchid Beauty Boutique. Dalouk Spa offered children a chance to give their mums ‘The One I Love’ gift package in a show of appreciation and respect to their mothers on their special day.

“These events have been organised in line with SLC’s ongoing efforts to provide everything that will help elevate women’s status, and provide them with high-end services to perform their myriad roles as mothers, sisters, teachers, carers, and more, feeling energised and happy. Throughout the year, SLC hosts a series of programmes and activities that not just entertain, but also enrich the physical and mental health of its members. SLC prides itself in offering women exclusive and elegant services, which allows them to cherish feeling beautiful and fulfilled from the inside out,” said Duaa Al Mahri, Head of Corporate Communication at SLC.

Earlier this month, SLC observed the International Women’s Day on 8 March, hosting an interactive session in conjunction with Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC). Among others, a group of craftswomen involved in the ‘Bidwa’ Programme by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, an initiative under the NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA), was also in attendance. The session highlighted the Emirati women’s creative traditional crafts like ‘Talli’ and ‘Safeefa’.

Mariam Al Shamsi, SBWC member, and Founder & CEO of 1020 Avenue, shared her success story with women participating in the session. She talked about how she started her business, and braved through challenging circumstances to build a profitable enterprise as well as a strong personality.

In light of the strong bonds between SLC and SBWC and the importance of such meetings in sharing and learning from eachothers’ life experiences, Al Shamsi underlined SBWC’s role in helping her realise her true potential as an entrepreneur

Other International Women’s Day celebrations included a series of health and wellness sessions that helped women relax and ignite their physical energy, along with a variety of activities such as circuit training exercises. A workshop titled “Relax and Get Rid of Stress” was conducted to help women to feel their beauty and increase their happiness and ignite themselves with positive energy, reflecting on their health and on those around them.

A package of free services will be offered by the Club to women throughout the month, including a 30-minute ‘Cardio Tennis’ class at the Sports Complex. Special membership discounts and additional benefits are being offered by the health club, Fitness 180.

SLC will also offer a package of exclusive services at special rates in all its facilities, the rest of March. For more information and inquires, visit, or call 065067701.
