First Aid Training Course for SLC staff

As part of the set strategies that aims to care for the employees in all given fields, Sharjah Ladies Club in cooperation with Red Crescent & SLC Paramedic, and association with Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family affairs (SCFA), held a first aid course for a period of 2 days.  The course was conducted by Dr. Fayez Shkrji from Red Crescent.

 

This course is aimed to train first aid procedures for any accidents that may encounter SLC’s staff, receptionists and attendees of the club. In the beginning, it was an intensive modern training workshop lead by Dr. Fayez. It was a theoretical and practical workshop on how to apply first aid methods correctly in case of an emergency.

Dr. Fayez demonstrated the methods of first aid, and used practical procedures of dummies, as well as theoretical ideas. The ladies took part in the workshop expressed great interest in learning such important methods.

“We have established a plan and a strategy that aims at introducing and training our staff and employees to all emergency methods, and in order to bring awareness we have cooperated with Red Crescent & SLC Paramedic, and associated with the Health Promotion Department at the SCFA and held “First Aid Course” which was held for a period of 2 days. This course aimed to train SLC’s staff in practicing correct first aid methods dealing with in case of any emergency break out as it utilizes advanced methods. The ladies were very interested in learning such important methods and reaped great knowledge of first aid procedures. We hope to continue in holding such important courses which benefits all individuals”, said Muna Al Safari, Head of HR & Organizational Development at SLC.

It’s worth mentioning that around 35 members from Sharjah Ladies Club attended the workshop where they learnt the basic methods in first aid by a trained professional in a practical way by using dummies. At the end of the workshop certificates were distributed to attendees.
