Sharjah Ladies Club takes Summer campers on a day out to KidZania® and Sharjah Aquarium

Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), under sponsorship of FAL (Abdulla Sari) the club’s strategic sponsor, brought fun into the lives of 18 girls by taking them on a day out to KidZania®, a full-fledged mini city scaled down to the size of children, at The Dubai Mall.

The trip was organised to develop the mental and social skills of the children through fun and enjoyable activities. Meanwhile the “Little Mushmis” summer campers enjoyed a trip to Sharjah Aquarium to learn more about aquatic animals and life.

Mushmis Summer Camp, which comes under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of Sharjah, provides around 100 children with the opportunity to learn, cultivate their sense of identity and enhance their participation in society.

Sara al Marzouqi, Art centre coordinator, said that SLC Summercamp’s agenda pays special attention to programmes that develop, encourage and integrate individuals to become better people within their communities: “A key goal of our community development programmes is to foster community spirit and bring people together and Mushmis Summer Camp helps us move closer to that goal. We are proud to take part in this noble initiative and play a social role in the UAE community”.

Al Marzouqi added, “Playing is an important part of a child’s development, as it stimulates their creative thinking, strengthens their self esteem, and increases social interaction with other children, which is what we aimed for through this activity. The children enjoyed role playing and each of them took up their dream jobs at KidZania®,”

Mushmis Summer camp is an annual event organised by Sharjah Ladies Club, which brings children, to develop their social skills, increase their self-confidence and help them learn and grow into a contributing part of society. This year’s camp, held from June 2 till August 5 includes art, dance, culture and heritage activities as well as sports activities.
