“In a day and age where urban living is marked by sedentary lifestyles, it is essential that we make an unfailing effort to have a daily fitness regime. Regular exercise and healthy eating are the only ways in which to ensure we stay aware from ailments like heart disease, obesity, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases rampant in the UAE and beyond. Sharjah Ladies Run has brought together thousands of ladies from across the nation for three years, encouraging a spirit of responsibility for one’s own wellbeing and healthy competition among them. The event is an annual reminder of how critical it is to be active, fit and involved,” remarked Duaa Al Mahri, Head of Corporate Communications at SLC.
“The popularity of the Run also comes from the fact that for many ladies participating, the motivating factors are the opportunity to run in a supportive and friendly environment and socialise with other runners,” she added.
SLC’s Fitness 180,will be holding specialised training sessions for the participants who want to increase their stamina before the Sharjah Ladies Run 2018. They will also hold a one-hour warm-up and briefing session on the day of the run.
